Claire Ingleheart

Claire Ingleheart is a conductor, multi instrumentalist, composer and associate lecturer at Falmouth University, who has worked extensively throughout the UK and Europe. As a “musical magpie” she has gathered various instruments and styles along the way, including jazz, folk, classical, African, Latin, Eastern European, Gypsy, Indian and Funk!

An experienced musical director and performer, she has worked with Wild Works Theatre, Michael Sheen, The Manic Street Preachers, Dreadnought Theatre, Horse and Bamboo Theatre, Dodgy Clutch Theatre, Travelling Light, Manushi Dance, The Eden Project, Hall for Cornwall, Nottingham Television Workshop, The Tides, Femmes de la Mer, Underbelly and Braga Tanga. As well as writing and performing with these companies and bands, she has written for short film, educational resource packs and many community projects including conducting a 30 strong choir to support Peter Gabriel at the Eden Project.

Since initiating The Ingleheart Singers in 2006, Claire has gone on to form another community choir in Cornwall, The Suitcase Singers.
